Kiln Tableware

Dinner plates and pasta bowls for hectic kitchens — home and professional alike.

Kiln Tableware: stacked handmade stoneware plates and bowls

Overview

Built for
every dinner

Sofia Marchetti drew this line as the antidote to throwaway dishes: dinner plates, pasta bowls, and sides in a speckled oat glaze that shrugs off a thousand meals and still looks dressed up.

Shapes are regular enough to stack and swap, irregular enough that no two rims line up. Half a dozen Brooklyn kitchens plate on them — along with hundreds of family tables.

The making

Even, but human

Dinnerware is the toughest assignment in the studio: it has to nest, endure machines, and still feel touched. We throw to guides for fit, then keep the throwing rings showing — the fingerprint of the process.

  • Thrown to gauges so sets stack and match
  • Single-piece replacement, always available
  • Trade program for restaurants and cafés
